Powderscan
Specks in powders may be analyzed on-line using an image analysis application with either a Powderscan (P4000) or a Fluoroscan (F4000). Fluoroscans are designed to detect aleurone for flour determinations or other components which fluoresce. The Powderscan unit can be used for all other applications. Data is collected every 20 seconds. The instrument can be interfaced to the plants control system for real time measurements – specification of speck size can be programmed by the operator.
Slurryscan
The Slurryscan (S4000) is an exciting new instrument designed to determine specks in slurries, gels or pastes. This image analysis takes place every 2 seconds. The Slurryscan can be used with PLC systems to control processes to blend or divert contaminated portions of production flow. For the first time in history, slurries can be analyzed for speck contamination on-line.
