Brookfield, CT, May 1, 2011 – Unity Scientific, a global leading supplier of near infrared (NIR) instrumentation has announced the release of the next generation of extended wavelength detectors for the SpectraStar™ series NIR product line. This new design clearly advances the technology generating an even higher level of performance for these extended wavelength scanning systems.
The new detector design is optimized for repeatability, reproducibility, longevity and to be field replaceable for easy and fast repairs if required. In addition, the detector is equipped with field adjustable offset and gain potentiometers. The picoamp sensitivity detector also has new guard circuits for decreased noise, and solid gold pin sockets for the replaceable detector. The company has decided to use the best specific electronic components available and manufacture the entire system in the U.S.A. employing the highest quality manufacturing techniques.
