AMS Group and SYSTEA s.p.a. Announce Partnership

22 December 2011 – AMS Group and SYSTEA s.p.a., specialists in the field of design, manufacture and sales of analytical instruments, have announced their next merger and the creation of AMS-SYSTEA. This new company will result from the strategic merge of sales and R&D operations implemented in August 2011. The goal of both businesses is to pool valuable skills, expertise and facilities within a common structure, thereby providing one of the most comprehensive product offerings in the sector.

AMS-SYSTEA’s new structure comprises four divisions: the clinical division (automated instruments for clinical biochemistry and reagents, resulting from the acquisition of Minias Globe Diagnostics in April 2011), the agri-food division (molecular biology kits and analytical equipment), the environmental division (Alliance Instruments, AMS and SYSTEA brands’ continuous flow and sequential analysers, both on line and in situ) and the nuclear division (the Ysebaert brand product line).

This merger places the new group as leader in the development of environmental analysis solutions, offering the most comprehensive range on the market.

Pooling AMS-SYSTEA’s three R&D centres (located in Rome and Anagni in Italy and in Frépillon in France) will result in the launch of new equipments on the market within 2012. AMS-SYSTEA, with a staff of 90, wishes to maintain its pace of growth and development. It anticipates future acquisitions in the coming months.

“Thanks to this merger we will be better able to respond to the requirements of our distributor partners throughout the world. This is a major asset in an increasingly international and highly competitive market.” declared Pompeo Moscetta, Managing Director of SYSTEA s.p.a.

“The synergy between our product ranges will enable us to offer solutions which are perfectly suited to the end-users’ needs, particularly for environmental applications in the water sector, with the availability of on-line and portable versions of the instruments.” adds Antonio Gagliarducci, Managing Director of AMS s.p.a.
